The family of Gulls is found worldwide, most of the species are migratory birds. The body length ranges from 20 cm to 75 cm. Gulls are strongly built, they have long, pointed wings and a rather long tail. Their feet are webbed. They are very good fliers who often sail or glide. They can also swim well, but few species dive. They often breed in large colonies.
