Birds of the Chagos Archipelago

€ 2.99 *

The Chagos Archipelago is located about 500 km south of the Maldives and therefore south of the equator in the Indian Ocean. Together with the Maldives and India's Lakshadweep, they form the largest atoll and coral reef system in the world. The climate is tropical, humid and warm. The islands have outstanding biodiversity and are home to huge seabird colonies, including the world's largest colony of red-footed boobies. The land birds, on the other hand, are largely introduced.

Chagos Archipelago is located in the Indian Ocean. Legally Chagos Archipelago belongs to United Kingdom.
