The family of Tits are found on all continents of the world except South America and Australia. They are small birds with a body length of 8 cm to 21 cm. Tits usually live in trees and are rather bad fliers. Some species hide food in autumn, which they bring out again in winter. Up to 14 eggs can belong to a brood and are incubated by the female alone.
