 Avidiversity  AVITOPIA - Penduline Tits

Scientific system: Clements et al.

Familia: Remizidae

You can get "Checklist of the Penduline Tits of Planet Earth" as an e-book here.

The family of Penduline-Tits is common to North America, Eurasia and Africa. At 7.5 to 11 cm, they are very small birds with a pointed conical beak and relatively strong toes. Penduline-Tits build elaborate nests from plant wool with a side entrance that hang at the end of a branch and sway in the wind. An African species builds a conspicuous entrance that ends in a cul-de-sac, as well as an inconspicuous slit above it as a true entrance.
