 Avidiversity  AVITOPIA - Malagasy Warblers

Scientific system: Clements et al.

Familia: Bernieridae

You can get "Checklist of the Malagasy Warblers of Planet Earth" as an e-book here.

All species of the family of Malagasy Warblers are endemic to Madagascar. It was suggested as early as 1934 that they should be grouped together in one family, but this classification only prevailed on the basis of DNA tests. Their length ranges from 10 cm to 20 cm. They live predominantly in humid rainforest and feed mainly on insects. Little is known about this family.
