The only two species of the family of Fairy-bluebirds is found in the tropics of Southeast Asia from India to Borneo and on the Philippines. They are approximately 21.2 cm to 27.5 cm long. Their plumage is bright green or blue and the sexes differ. Their habitat are forests and gardens. They live on fruits, berries, nectar, seeds and buds, supplemented by insects. The nests are flat bowl-shaped and usually contain 2 to 4 eggs.
