The family of Silky-flycatchers is a small family with only four species. They occur in North America southwards to Panama. The body size ranges from 18 cm to 25 cm. They are related to the Waxwings and, like them, have soft, silky plumage. Silky-flycatchers eat fruits or insects. They build their nests in trees.
