Birds of Bulgaria

€ 8.49 *

Bulgaria is located in the eastern part of the Balkan Peninsula on the Black Sea with 354 km of coastline. The country is geographically diverse with large plains, low mountain ranges and alpine regions including the Musala with an altitude of 2925 m. The climate is partly Mediterranean, oceanic and continental. As a result of these different conditions, Bulgaria's biodiversity is one of the highest in Europe. Bulgaria has four national parks and, according to BirdLife International, comprises 114 IBAs (Important Bird Areas), i.e. areas of particular global importance for the bird world.
