Birds of Italy

€ 8.99 *

Italy is an extremely popular travel destination around the world, mainly because of its cultural treasures. What is less well known is that Italy is the country with the greatest animal biodiversity in Europe. This is also due to the country's climatic diversity. The coastline of the peninsula in the Mediterranean Sea is approx. 7600 km long. In the Alps, the Mont Blanc massif reaches a height of approx. 4800 m. Italy protects its natural treasures with 24 national parks and 134 regional nature parks. Because of its central location, Italy is not home to endemics, but BirdLife International has identified more than 170 IBAs (Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas). As in hardly any other country in the world, it is a good idea to not only admire Italian culture, but also to admire the world of birds during a visit.

This E-book bird guide for "Italy" has been built at 24.02.2024, based upon our data base and our image archive using our default settings, and saved in two formats.
