Birds of North Macedonia

€ 7.49 *

North Macedonia is a landlocked country north of Greece. The climate is partly Mediterranean, partly continental and mountainous at high altitudes. The highest peak is the Golem Korab with 2764 m. For the purpose of nature protection 3 national parks have been established: Mavrovo, Galičica and Pelister. They are not only characterized by impressive landscapes, but also by a high level of biodiversity. 22 Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas (IBAs) have been registered for North Macedonia, including five lakes and five river landscapes. Many species of birds of prey and falcons can be found here, e.g. eight different species of eagles.
