Birds of Hungary

€ 7.49 *

Hungary lies in Central Europe with no contact to the sea. Because of this location, the country has a fairly dry continental climate. Hungary can be divided into three large regions: in the west Transdanubia, in the north-east the Northern Hills and in the south-east the Great Hungarian Plain. The highest altitude is reached at the Kékes with 1014 m. Hungary has set up 10 national parks, half of which are also biosphere reserves. In addition, there are more than 140 nature reserves, in which Hungary's bird life is protected in particular. In fact, more and more bird watchers have come to Hungary to enjoy Hungary's nature. Of particular interest are the bird species that specialize in steppe landscapes, including the great bustard, which is often referred to as the national bird of Hungary.
