Birds of Jordan

€ 8.99 *

Jordan is a small almost landlocked country situated strategically at one of the most important bird migratory routes between Asia and Africa. In addition, it hosts an interesting set of Arabian bird species, and due to a short coast line at the Red Sea, some marine birds. So the avidiversity is almost as high as in all of Europe. Its nature reserves are taken care of by the the Royal Society for The Conservation of Nature (RSCN). Among other things, the RSCN is fighting to keep the once world-famous Azraq Oasis from drying up. Another one of the important nature reserves of Jordan is the Wadi Mujib, located directly east of the Dead Sea, the second-largest nature reserve of Jordan and a major stop-over for migratory birds.
