Cambodia is a tropical country with two distinct seasons, the rainy season and the dry season (November to April). The altitudes range from sea level up to 1813 m on the Phnom Aural. Under these circumstances, avidiversity is quite high. There are also a number of bird species with limited distribution. Therefore, the mountains in the border area to Thailand have been declared EBA-S (Secondary Endemic Bird Area) by BirdLife International. Here is also the National Park "Southern Cardamom Forest", which was established in 2016 as one of 8 national parks. In addition, there are dozens of nature reserves. In order to promote visits to the protected areas, an association (CBGA) has been set up to combine bird watching with ecotourism. This is certainly an excellent way to see the fascinating birds of this country for yourself.
