Birds of Malawi

€ 14.49 *

The landlocked state of Malawi is completely dominated by the Rift Valley and the third largest lake in Africa, Lake Malawi. The northern region rises to 3002 m (Sapitwa Peak) above sea level. Malawi is one of the smallest countries in Africa and yet it has great natural diversity. This diversity is reflected in the avifauna of Malawi. Malawi has a good infrastructure and a well-developed network of national parks (five) and other protected areas. For birdwatchers, the combination of lowland dry forest and mountainous regions is particularly attractive, the high avidiversity (more than 650 species) does the rest.
