Birds of Eswatini

€ 11.99 *

The Kingdom of Swaziland was officially renamed the Kingdom of Eswatini in 2018. This state is the second smallest on the African continent. It is a landlocked country whose altitudes range from 21 to 1862 m. The climate is subtropical and the vegetation varies according to the altitude. Swaziland has 15 nature reserves including 6 national parks. Swaziland does not have endemic species but, according to BirdLife International, shares with neighboring countries two Endemic Bird Areas (EBAs), ie areas with a considerable number of small-range bird species. In addition, there are several species of vultures that are widespread but threatened. Of particular interest to birdwatchers is the Mlawula Game Reserve, where you can hike on your own. And the excursions are productive all year round.
