Birds of Tanzania

€ 23.99 *

Tanzania has protected approximately 38% of its country, including 16 national parks. The altitude ranges from sea level to the summit of Kibo (5895 m) in the Kilimanjaro massif, the highest mountain in Africa. There is a tropical climate along the coast of the Indian Ocean, in the mountains the climate is rather temperate. The large country is home to many species of birds with small ranges, and 28 of them are only found in Tanzania. That is why BirdLife International has recognized 9 endemic bird areas (EBAs) in Tanzania. One of them is the island of Pemba, which is located north of Zanzibar. Another is the Usambara Mountains, which are covered by tropical rainforest and are among the most biodiverse regions in the world. Also the Serengeti Plains belong to them. one of the most famous natural regions of the world. For bird lovers, Tanzania is an absolute dream destination.
