Adélie Land lies entirely on the Antarctic continent and, with its extremely harsh living conditions,
is one of the most hostile areas on earth. Nevertheless, several bird species that are perfectly adapted to these conditions live here.
Most of them are able to survive for long periods on the open sea, and they need solid ground mainly for breeding,
which often takes place on steep rock faces. This bird guide shows you the entire bird world of Adélie Land (Date 04.12.2024).
The scientific system follows Clements et al. 2017.
