Birds of the Canary Islands

€ 5.99 *

On the volcanic islands off the coast of Africa live a variety of interesting bird species. Some of them are endemic to the Canaries, above all the 'near threatened' Blue Chaffinch. BirdLife International pronounced the the Canaries together with Madeira a Primary Endemic Bird Area (EBA-P).

The Canary Islands are located in the Atlantic Ocean. Legally the Canary Islands belong to Spain. Because of the number of bird species with restricted range occurring in this area, BirdLife International assigned it a Primary Endemic Bird Area (EBA-P).
