Vögel auf Aruba

€ 5.49 *

Aruba is an island in the Caribbean Sea, which belongs geologically to South America and politically to the Netherlands. The island is located outside the hurricane zone and has a tropical-maritime climate. In the south of the island lies the Arikok National Park, which is home to some popular hiking trails. Although there are no endemic bird species, there are two endemic subspecies, both of which are found in the national park, a Burrowing Owl and a Brown-throated Parakeet. Together with the other Netherlands Antilles (Bonaire and Curaçao), according to BirdLife International Aruba forms an EBA-S (Secondary Endemic Bird Area), because some bird species with restricted range occur here.

Aruba is located in the Atlantic Ocean. Legally Aruba belongs to Netherlands. Because of the number of bird species with restricted range occurring in this area, BirdLife International assigned it a Secondary Endemic Bird Area (EBA-S).
