Sardinia is a big island and its birdlife is so rich, that a stay of more than a week is worthwhile just for that reason. The wide saltpans, excellent mountain areas, and rocky coasts are always an experience. Sardinia has some specialties such as Marmora's Warbler and Corsican Finch, which breed only there and on islands in the neighborhood. In addition, Sardinia is one of two European locations, where Barbaray Partridge can be watched in the wild.

Sardinia is located in the Mediterranean Sea. Legally Sardinia belongs to Italy.
