Many, though not all sovereign states named a national bird.
On the other hand, a number of non-sovereign states or provinces selected a bird for their area.
This e-book puts these symbol birds next to the flags, as far as these are recognized (Date 05.06.2024).
The scientific system follows Clements et al. 2017.
