Birds of Bolivia

€ 33.99 *

Bolivia is a landlocked country in central South America. The altitudes vary greatly, ranging from 70 m to 6542 m asl. The variability of the climates is similarly wide, ranging from tropical in the eastern plains to polar climates in the western Andes. The variety of habitats leads to an extraordinary biodiversity, which also extends to the bird world. Bolivia has established 13 national parks to protect its nature. As a result, around 6% of the country's area is considered protected. For example, more than 900 bird species have been identified in the Amboró National Park. Bolivia is a relatively poor country but has a fairly high rate of economic growth. It is to be expected that tourism will also grow. In any case, the birdlife of Bolivia is extremely attractive.
